CORVALLIS – The Oregon State men’s basketball team snapped a 4-game losing skid with an 84-59 win over Southern Oregon on Monday.

It was OSU’s first game without leading scorer Tres Tinkle, who will miss about 4 to 6 weeks with a broken wrist on his non-shooting hand. Tinkle had extensive tests run on the wrist Monday and it was determined he would not need surgery for torn ligaments.

The Beavers relied heavily on big-man Drew Eubanks in the absence of Tinkle. Eubanks abused the under-sized Raiders. He shot 15-of-21, netting a career-high 32 points.  The sophomore added nine rebounds and two blocked shots.

Oregon State was also without Stephen Thompson Jr., who missed his fifth consecutive game. Thompson Jr. will likely be needed to help cover the scoring deficit left while Tinkle is sidelined.

Up next, Oregon State will visit Mississippi State on Thursday.
