CORVALLIS – The Oregon State Beavers suffered their first loss of the year after committing 27 turnovers on the way to a 63-60 loss against Lamar on Wednesday.

The Beavers fell behind 29-25 at the break, but rallied to make things close down the stretch. Drew Eubanks led the way, scoring a team-high 17 points and pulling down a career-high 18 rebounds. Eubanks added six blocks to his stat line as well.

OSU had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but a desperation half-court heave by Tres Tinkle was off the mark. Tinkle had an off night, managing only nine points and eight rebounds. He had been averaging 23 points and over 10 rebounds per game.

Up next the Beavers hit the road for the first time this season. Oregon State visits Nevada on Friday night.
