ROSEBURG – The Roseburg football team landed two offensive players on the All-Southwest Conference second team and a handful of others on the Honorable Mention list after a season that saw plenty of ups and downs. The award list was announced Thursday by athletic director Russ Bolin.

Senior running back Kyle Rackley was voted one of three second team backs after rushing for 671 yards and accounting for eight touchdowns. He’s the only repeat All-Conference selection for the Indians this year. Rackley was also a second team selection at running back in 2015.

Joining Rackley on the second team list is junior offensive lineman Tyler Sconce. At 6’6” and 318 pounds, Sconce was an anchor along the front line and helped open holes for Roseburg’s rushing attack.

The Indians had two players also make the offensive and defensive Honorable Mention lists. On offense, senior Cameron Campbell was selected at center and senior Tanner Hunt was selected as a place kicker. Hunt was also a second team selection with the Roseburg boys soccer team.

On defense, senior Parker Adair earned honorable mention status along the defensive line and sophomore Zack Mandera was chosen at linebacker, despite missing multiple games due to a neck injury.

Roseburg should have two returning All-Southwest Conference selections on the roster next year.
