UMPQUA BASIN – The South Umpqua volleyball team will look to build off of its first win of the Far West League season with a trip to Brookings-Harbor on Tuesday. The Lady Lancers are coming off a strong performance against Marshfield last Thursday. South Umpqua controlled the match winning 3-0, finally breaking through after numerous tight contests in league play.

Now the Lady Lancers will have the chance to continue their success and stay in the race for the post season by winning on the road. South Umpqua travels to the Southern Oregon Coast to face the Bruins, who have managed only two wins all season and are winless in Far West action.

South Umpqua and Brookings-Harbor tipoff their league contest at 6:30 p.m.

The Douglas volleyball team is coming off a loss to league leader Siuslaw, but the Trojans have a chance to bounce back by jumping on a down-trodden Marshfield team.

The Lady Trojans just barely lost against the Vikings on Thursday last week. They took the match to a fifth set but came up short of winning by just three points.

Douglas and Marshfield meet in Winston on Tuesday in a battle of teams hoping to avoid falling to the back of the playoff pack. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
