DUFUR— Camas Valley’s ground game proved to be the difference as the Hornets pounded the Antelopes for their first win of the season at the Dufur Classic. Ryan Weickum and Jake Gallagher combined for 281 yards rushing and four TDs while the Hornet defense limited Adrian to just one score over the final three quarters.

“For only having one returning starter from last year I was excited to see how the kids performed,” Hornets coach Eli Wolfe said. “They are a fun group to watch for sure… we need to build off this, this is a good confidence booster for our kids.”

Ryland Brown led Camas Valley through the air completing six of ten passes for 101 yards and a touchdown, while Jack House had four catches for 84 yards and a score. Sophomores Justin Standley and Bryson Wolfe paced the Hornets defensive attack with 12 tackles each.
