MADISON, WI – After his third round in the PDGA World Championships on Thursday, Roseburg disc golfer Raymond Hernandez has moved into a tie for fifth place and drawn one-stroke closer to the current leader in the Junior I division.
According to the live scoring leader board on the PDGA website, Hernandez had the second best score in his division on Thursday. He finished the day at 4-under par and was one of only five golfers to finish below par. Hernandez had six birdies during his round and only two bogies.
With two more preliminary rounds left to play on Friday, Hernandez is in good shape to make the cut for the semifinals. Only the top 12 golfers, including ties, move on to the semifinals, which take place Saturday morning. From the semis only the top four golfers qualify for the finals, held Saturday night.
