MADISON, WI – After the first day of action at the Professional Disc Golf Association World Championships in Madison, WI on Tuesday, Roseburg disc golfer Raymond Herandez is among the leaders in the Junior I division. Hernandez shot nine-under par to tie for the third best score of day one. He trails the leader by three strokes.
Hernandez shot 10 birdies in his first 27 holes and had only one bogie. The first round of play for the Junior I division was held at the Vallarta-Ast Disc Golf Course at Token Creek County Park in Deforest, WI. The second of five preliminary rounds for the Junior I division will be held at the Bird’s Ruins Disc Golf Course at Charles Langer Family Park in Marshall, WI. Hernandez and his group will tee off at 10 a.m. PT.
