GRANTS PASS – The Umpqua Lions American Legion baseball team gets back to action on Tuesday looking to snap a four-game losing streak with a road series against the Grants Pass Miners. The two sides meet for a league doubleheader starting at 6 p.m.
The Lions last won a game when hosting the Miners for a doubleheader at Legion Field on June 30. Umpqua swept the series by a combined score of 24-6. Since then the Lions have gone 0-4 in non-league games against South Medford and Bend.
Umpqua is 2-2 in league play, while Grants Pass is 0-4. The road match-up should be the perfect opportunity for the Lions to snap out of their slide.
