PORTLAND – The 4A All-State softball teams were announced on Monday and the Douglas Trojans landed five players on the lists after winning the Far West League title during the spring season.
Ally Schofield and Taylor Holcomb earned the highest honors of the five Lady Trojans selected. They both were second team selections, Schofield on the infield and Holcomb in the outfield. The rest of the Douglas players selected earned Honorable Mention recognition. Senior Cidny Duper was selected as a pitcher and junior Molly Lavin-Williams and senior Skylar Coate were picked in the infield.
South Umpqua had two players earn All-State status. Far West League Player of the Year, Alexis Westbrooks, was named a third team infielder, while senior outfielder Chanel Stewart earned Honorable Mention recognition.

The 3A baseball and softball All-State teams were also announced Monday. The Glide Wildcats had a slew of players selected.
Two players earned first team honors for the Glide baseball team. Seniors Bryson Belloir and William Beard were selected first team at the infield and outfield positions respectively. The Wildcats have five total selections on the All-State list, two first team, one second team, and two third team.

The Glide softball team had three sophomores earn honorable mention recognition. The players were infielder Whitney Stone, outfielder Madison Malek, and utility Alison Michel.
