ROSEBURG – Two Roseburg seniors were named to the 6A softball All-State teams on Thursday. Infielder Baylee Wyscaver earned a repeat nomination, while pitcher Ashley Martin garnered first time honors.
Wyscaver earned first team All-State honors for the first time in her career, but it’s the third time she has made an All-State team. Wyscaver was a third team selection after both her junior and sophomore seasons. The recognition follows Wyscaver’s selection as the Southwest Conference Player of the Year. She has committed to playing softball for the Oregon Tech Owls next year.
Fellow senior Ashley Martin was voted to the All-State third team as a pitcher. This is the first All-State honors for Roseburg’s ace. Martin was also a first team All-Conference selection this season for the first time in her career. Martin has committed to play for the Pacific Boxers next year.
