ROSEBURG – The Roseburg girls lacrosse team finished its season with a run to the post season and after a successful year, the Indians were rewarded with six players earning All-Conference honors.

Roseburg had two players make the first team All-Conference list. Senior McKaela Larkin was voted first team at the attack position. Larkin scored 35 goals for the Indians this season. Senior Maleesa Scott was voted first team on defense for Roseburg. Scott had the second-most turnovers caused on the Indians’ roster.

Roseburg landed four players on the All-Conference second team. Senior Maria Johnson was selected at the attack position after scoring a team-high 43 goals. Junior Anna Lake was selected at the midfielder position after leading the Indians in caused turnovers and scored the third most goals. Senior Valarie Douthitt was selected second team at the defense position. She caused 26 turnovers this season, third most on the Roseburg squad. Senior Ashley Smith was selected second team at goalie after finishing the season saving 60% of the shots on goal.

The Indians will graduate 10 players from this year’s roster. Roseburg finished fourth in the South Conference and lost to Southridge in the first round of the state playoffs.
