ROSEBURG – All of the details are now set for the Roseburg baseball and softball teams’ first round playoff contests.

The baseball team knew it would be traveling to West Salem High School on Monday, May 23 for its first round match-up, but the game time was not set until Wednesday morning. The Indians and Titans will take the field at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Roseburg baseball finished fourth in the Southwest Conference and is ranked 23rd by the OSAA. West Salem won the Greater Valley Conference and is 10th in the OSAA rankings. The winner of the first round match-up will face either Lincoln or Central Catholic in the second round on Wednesday May 25.

The softball team had to wait until the play-in round games were completed before it found out its first round opponent. The Indians will host the Sprague Olympians on Monday, May 23 at 4:30 p.m. The Olympians defeated Cleveland 15-5 in a play-in game on Tuesday to advance to the first round against the Indians. Sprague is the fifth place team out of the Greater Valley Conference and ranked 26th by the OSAA. Roseburg finished second in the Southwest Conference and is ranked seventh by the OSAA.

OSAA playoff games require a ticket for entry. Tickets can be purchased at the gate. The cost for tickets is $6 for adults and $4 for students. No passes are allowed.
