ROSEBURG – For more than a decade, the Josh Bidwell Foundation Celebrity Benefit Golf Tournament Dinner & Auction has raised money to support local organizations in Douglas County. The annual event is coming up in a week at the Roseburg Country Club and a limited number of tickets are still available for the dinner and auction on Friday night.

The dinner and auction take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 22nd and the celebrity golf tournament follows on Saturday. This year’s event will include a number of football players, including University of Oregon quarterbacks Taylor Allie and Jeff Lockie and former Roseburg High star and Oregon State tight end Joe Newton. Former Oregon basketball star, NBA player, and current head coach at Northwest Christian University Luke Jackson will be in attendance. Also taking part in the golf tournament is musician Elvie Shane from American Idol.

The golf tournament is full, but fans can still come to the Roseburg Country Club at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 to meet the celebrities for pictures and autographs.

The Bidwell Foundation Celebrity Benefit Golf Tournament Dinner & Auction benefits the Community Cancer Center, Douglas County youth activities, and youth service organizations in the county. In its 10 years, the organization has donated well over $200,000 back into the community where Josh Bidwell was raised.
