ROSEBURG – The Roseburg baseball and softball teams will try and stretch their current winning streaks by one more game as both teams take the field against Southwest Conference opponents on Tuesday.

The Roseburg baseball team is coming off a highly productive doubleheader against Grants Pass, where the Indians put up 31 runs to win both games and win the three-game season series against the Cavemen. Roseburg has now won three straight after losing three consecutive games prior to starting conference play.

It’s been a big turnaround for the Indians and senior second baseman Zack Watkins credits newfound confidence for the team’s success.

Roseburg senior Zack Watkins was a guest on Off The Wall with Joey Keeran on Monday. Listen to the full interview HERE.

The Indians are back at home again on Tuesday as they host South Eugene. The Axemen went 2-1 during the opening week of conference games and carry a 4-3-1 record overall. Roseburg and South Eugene begin play at 4:30 p.m. Pregame coverage starts at 4:15 p.m. on 1490 The Score or watch the game online at 541radio.com.

The Roseburg softball team got a pair of wins against Willamette on Saturday to claim its first Southwest Conference wins of the year. The Indians put up 28 runs against the Wolverines and will try to keep that momentum going as they face the conference leading North Medford Black Tornado on Tuesday. North Medford is undefeated and has only allowed 13 runs all year.

Roseburg visits North Medford at 4:30 p.m. The game is available to watch online from Table Rock Sports in Medford.
