BAKER CITY, OR – The Yoncalla boys won 75-41 over Crosshill Christian on Friday and advanced back to the 4th place game of the 1A state playoffs for a second consecutive season.

The Eagles led the entire game and outscored Crosshill 20-5 in the third quarter to turn a 15-point halftime lead into a 30-point advantage going to the fourth quarter.

Yoncalla had three players in double figures, led by senior Zack Van Loon with 26. Rob Thommen added 22 points and 10 rebounds and Tyler Gustasfon chipped in 12 points.

The Eagles will square off against Hosanna Christian in the consolation championship game. The 4th place game is scheduled for Saturday morning at 10:45 a.m. and the contest will be broadcast on 1490 The Score.
