ROSEBURG – The state playoffs begin Tuesday for the 6A girl’s basketball teams around the state, which means the Roseburg Indians are in action. The RHS girls are off on the road Tuesday to visit Tualatin in the first round of the 6A state playoffs.

The Indians finished fourth out of the Southwest Conference, but were a mere two points away from claiming a third place finish. Roseburg finished with a decent OSAA ranking at No. 17, but were one spot shy of hosting a first round game.

Tualatin was in a similar boat to the Indians. The Timberwolves lost by four points in their final game, which would have earned them a third place finish if they would have won.

The Indians will be looking to advance to the second round for a fourth straight year. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. and pregame coverage gets underway at 6:15 p.m. on 1490 The Score and online at 541radio.com.
