ROSEBURG – The season came to an end for the Roseburg boy’s basketball team on Wednesday when they dropped one spot in the OSAA rankings as the 6A regular season came to an official close. The Indians were hoping to sneak into the post season as one of the last teams selected for a play-in game, but the squad needed to be in the top 36 of the OSAA rankings and they fell from 36 to 37 as the final games were played around the state.
Roseburg ends its season with a 9-15 overall record and 4-10 in conference play. The Indians tied Grants Pass for fifth place in the Southwest Conference.
The Roseburg girls remain the 17th team in the OSAA rankings meaning they will hit the road in the first round of the 6A girls state playoffs. The Indians appear headed to Tualatin to face the No. 16 Timberwolves on Tuesday, March 1.
