UMPQUA VALLEY – The playoffs are on the line when the Roseburg boys take the court on Tuesday for their regular season finale against North Medford.

The Indians improved to No. 39 in the latest OSAA rankings after their win over Willamette on Friday. The team likely needs to be at No. 36 or higher to make a play-in game, but a win over the No. 9 Black Tornados might just do the trick.

Roseburg and North Medford have met twice this season, with the Black Tornado winning both games by double figures. In their last meeting at Roseburg High School, the Indians fell behind big in the first quarter, but played nearly even with North Medford through the final three quarters. If not for the lopsided first quarter, the game might have been a close finish.

Roseburg wraps-up the regular season on the road Tuesday at North Medford. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and pregame coverage begins at 6:45 p.m. on 1490 The Score and online at 541radio.com.

The Roseburg girls have already clinched a post season berth, but there’s still plenty to play for. The Indians will be celebrating senior night for the six girls on the roster that are playing their final regular season home game. Plus, and likely more importantly, a win over North Medford would mean a third place finish instead of fourth and could possibly bump the Indians up a spot in the OSAA rankings.

Roseburg beat North Medford in early February on a buzzer beater shot from senior Megan Bolin. The Indians had led most of the contest, but their offense went stagnant and North Medford rallied to take a lead with 7 seconds left. With the clock running the Indians inbounded and quickly worked down the floor. Jesse Farrington found Bolin wide open near the hoop for the game-winner.

The Roseburg and North Medford girls finish the regular season at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
