ROSEBURG – The Roseburg girls got a much needed win Tuesday night over the visiting Grants Pass Lady Cavers. The Indians pulled out to a big lead in the second quarter and put the pedal to the metal for a 67-40 victory.

Roseburg led 17-16 after one quarter of play, but the Indians’ defense clamped down to only allow Grants Pass to score seven points in the second quarter and six in the third. The win puts Roseburg into a tie for third place in the Southwest Conference with four games left to play.

Jordan Stotler led the Indians with 20 points and Jessie Farrington added 14. Grants Pass was led by Abi Johnson and Karly Dinkel, who each scored eight points.

Next up, the Roseburg girls visit South Eugene on Friday night.
