UMPQUA VALLEY – The Roseburg girl’s basketball team hosts Grants Pass on Tuesday for a showdown of two teams tied for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Southwest Conference. With five games left in the regular season, Tuesday’s affair between the Indians and Lady Cavers could decide which team makes the post season and which one is out.
Roseburg lost to Grants Pass by 11 points the first time the two teams met. The Indians will try to even the series when the contest tips off at 7 p.m. at Roseburg High School.
The Roseburg boy’s basketball team is on the road at Grants Pass on Tuesday. The Indians and Cavemen are tied with Thurston at 2-7 records in conference play. Roseburg has lost two straight and four out of its last five. Grants Pass has lost seven of its last eight.
