SUTHERLIN – The third ranked Sutherlin Lady Bulldogs rode the career-high 35 points of junior Taylor Stricklin and a stifling defense to a 67-8 rout of Sisters Friday night at Sutherlin High School for their 15th win in a row.  Sophomore Harley Baker was the only other Bulldog in double figures with 12.

The Bulldogs defense held the Lady Outlaws to two points in the first and third quarters and shut them out in the 4th on the way to their 6th league win against zero losses. It was their 48th straight league win dating back to  February of 2011 when they were in the Far West League.
The Sutherlin girls are 19-1 and 6-0 in Sky-Em League play, and they hold a two-game lead with four left to play.
The Sutherlin boys couldn’t handle the pressure defense by Sisters and the Outlaws pulled away for a 55-37 win Friday night.
The Bulldogs were led by Cody Brownson with 22 points, but nobody else was in double figures.  Sisters got 13 from junior Keagan Greaney, including 9 in the 4th quarter. Senior Scott Wadell added 10.  The Outlaws jumped ahead 13-5 in the first quarter and the Bulldogs could never close the gap.  Sisters hit 16 of 21 free throws.
Sisters improved to 3-3 in league and 11-7 overall, while the Bulldogs dropped to 2-4 in conference and 10-10 overall.
The Bulldogs head for Sweet Home next Tuesday to battle the improving Huskies who upset 2nd place Junction City Thursday night.
