Friday night will be the first of the high school basketball season where every local team is playing league games.
The Far West and Sky-Em League seasons both begin on Friday, meaning Sutherlin, South Umpqua, and Douglas all face league opponents for the first time this year.
Sutherlin heads over the mountain passes for a trip to Sisters. Both Sutherlin teams carry winning streaks in the Sky-Em Leauge play and will try to keep the momentum going. Follow the action with Dan Bain on i101fm Friday night starting at 5:30 p.m.
In the Far West, South Umpqua starts the league season at home against Siuslaw, while Douglas welcomes in North Bend. The evening starts with the girl’s games at 6 p.m.
The Roseburg boys and girls face South Eugene on Friday night. The boys are on the road seeking their first win in conference play, while the girls are at home attempting to move above .500 for the first time in conference play.
The girls tipoff at 7 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym at Roseburg High School. The boy’s game will also begin at 7 p.m. in Eugene and fans can follow the action on the radio on 1490 The Score or watch the game streaming live online at 541radio.com. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 p.m.
