It was a pair of big wins for the Umpqua Riverhawks at home on Wednesday night against Linn-Benton.Ê
The UCC women continued to pile up points in a 106-62 win over Linn-Benton on Wednesday night. The Lady Riverhawks scored 36 points in the second quarter to pull ahead 51-24 at halftime. From there UCC widened the lead for its third biggest win of the season.Ê
The Riverhawks had six players finish in double figures, including all five starters. Sophomore Sawyer Kluge scored a game-high 24 points and Anna Mumm added a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.Ê
The UCC women have now won four straight games and improved to 4-0 in conference games. The Lady Riverhawks have averaged 93 points per game during their winning streak.Ê
The Umpqua men won a third consecutive game with a dominating 96-65 victory over Linn-Benton on Wednesday.Ê
The Riverhawks pulled ahead by 19 at halftime and finished with their fourth largest win of the season. Mikko Balmes led UCC with 18 points off the bench and Charles Porter added 16 points and a team-high seven rebounds.Ê
Up next for UCC will be a pair of road games at Clackamas on Saturday.
