ItÕs a light schedule for high school basketball on Tuesday, as a number of the local teams prepare to begin league play on Friday night.Ê

In the 4A classification, South Umpqua will get one last tune-up before Far West League games tipoff Friday night.Ê

The South Umpqua boys and girls will finish off their non-conference season with a home game against Elmira. The boys will try to snap a 3-game losing streak, while the girls will try to end an 11-game slump. The Lady Lancers play first at 6 p.m and the boyÕs game follows.Ê

The Douglas teams were scheduled to visit Sisters for a non-league game, but those have been cancelled. The Trojans will begin Far West League play against North Bend on Friday.Ê

In league games scheduled for Tuesday, the Glide boys and girls visit La Pline for a Mt. Valley Conference match-up. The girlÕs game begins at 6 p.m.

In the Mt. View Conference, Oakland heads to Canyonville Christian Academy and Riddle hosts Oakridge.Ê

And in a non-league game, Milo Adventist Academy is at Umpqua Valley Christian.
