The Roseburg wrestling team is off to another high-profile tournament on Friday. This time the Indians are headed to California for the Doc Buchanan Invitational, which features some of the best wrestlers in California and teams from outside the state as well.
Roseburg is coming off its trip to Minnesota for The Clash, where the Indians faced some of the best teams in the nation. Junior Layne Van Anrooy was voted to the All-Tournament team after winning all of his matches.
Van Anrooy is the No. 2 seed at 160 lbs for the Doc Buchanan Invitational. Last year Van Anrooy won the 152 lbs title as a sophomore. RoseburgÕs only other single-digit ranked wrestler is Will Reddekopp, who is ranked 7th at 220 lbs.
