The Roseburg boyÕs basketball team is back at home for the first time since before Christmas, as the Indians host the Sheldon Irish at Umpqua Community College on Friday. Roseburg and Sheldon are both seeking their first win of the conference season. The Indians narrowly lost to Thurston on Tuesday in a game that was tied with just over a minute to play. Sheldon lost to South Medford, the current No. 2 ranked team by the OSAA.

The Roseburg and Sheldon boys will tipoff at 7 p.m. from the UCC gym. Tune in for coverage of the game at 6:45 p.m. on 1490 The Score or watch the game live on 541radio.com.

The Roseburg girls are also squaring off against Sheldon. The Indians head to Eugene for the showdown against the Irish. The contest will feature two teams ranked in the top 10 in the state by the OSAA. Roseburg bumped up to No. 8 after defeating Thurston on Tuesday, while Sheldon sits at No. 10.

The Roseburg and Sheldon girls tipoff at 7 p.m.

In other prep basketball action on Friday, the Douglas and South Umpqua teams will participate in the SkyWest Crossover Friday and Saturday. The boyÕs tournament is hosted by Phoenix High School. Douglas faces Phoenix in its first game from the tournament and South Umpqua matches up against North Valley.

The girlÕs tournament will be hosted by Douglas High School. The Lady Trojans host Henley in their first contest of the tournament and South Umpqua faces Klamath Union.
