In his final press conference before the Oregon Ducks take the field in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Saturday, head coach Mark Helfrich announced Friday that assistant coach Matt Lubick has been promoted to the offensive coordinator position.Ê
Lubick has been on the Oregon football staff for three years as the wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator and his ascension to the coordinator position continues an Oregon tradition of promoting from within. Lubick takes over the offensive coordinator job from Scott Frost, who also started as the receivers coach at Oregon before moving to offensive coordinator. Frost left Oregon in early December to become the head coach at UCF.
