ROSEBURG – The Roseburg girls basketball team fell 46-41 to the Springfield Millers in its home opener Friday night.

The Indians and Millers went back-and-forth throughout a very close contest. Springfield held the lead at the end of every quarter, but it was never by more than one possession until the final score.

Jalen Robles led the Indians with 12 points and Amaya Goins added 11. Cielo Gonzalez scored a game-high 13 points to lead Springfield to the victory.

Up next the Roseburg girls will visit the Thurston Colts on Tuesday. The game will tipoff at 6:45 p.m.
