SWEET HOME – The Sutherlin boys basketball team remains in a tie for first place in the Sky-Em League after a convincing 57-29 victory over the Sweet Home Huskies Friday night.

The Bulldogs broke open a tie game in the second quarter outscoring the Huskies 12-1 in the period to take a 22-12 lead at the half. They continued to build the lead to a 16-point edge after three periods, and turned it into a rout in the final period.
 
Marshal Warmouth led the scoring with 17 points and six rebounds, and Albert Christianson had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Sutherlin and freshman Mason Gill had 15 points.
 
The Bulldogs hit 18-of-25 free-throws on the way to the victory. 
 
Sutherlin remains tied with Cottage Grove and Sisters for first place in the Sky-Em with 4-1 records, as the first half came to a close Friday night.
 
The second half schedule will begin on Friday Feb. 3 when the Bulldogs host Junction City.
