ROSEBURG – The Roseburg boys basketball team has come close to pulling off a pair of major upsets in its past two games, but the team hasn’t gotten over the hump. On Friday night, they’ll visit a West Albany team that is in a similar position.

The Bulldogs have played close against their Greater Valley Conference opponents as of late, but only have a couple of wins to show for it. Over the last three home games, West Albany has gone 1-2, with both losses coming in overtime.

Both teams are looking to snap a two-game losing streak. Tune in for coverage from West Albany High School at 6:30 p.m. on 1490 The Score and online at 541radio.com. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.

The Roseburg girls team has the night off from competition with a bye in the conference schedule.

The Sutherlin basketball teams take the floor on Friday night with the hopes of staying in the race for a league title. The girls have lost two straight – one conference game and one non-conference game – and will play for the third time in four nights. The boys are coming off an emotional upset victory against Cottage Grove which put them in a three-way tie for first.

Sutherlin visits Sweet Home. The boys hit the floor first at 5:45 p.m. and the girl’s game follows. Tune in for coverage of the match-ups on i101-FM starting with pregame at 5:30 p.m.
