ROSEBURG – Do you still have the itch to get out on the gridiron and toss around the ‘ol pigskin? The Douglas County Timberwolves nine-man football team is holding open tryouts on Saturday for anyone 18 years of age or older.

The Timberwolves are starting their third season. The team plays during the spring, mostly on weekends. Tryouts are free and will be held at Sutherlin High School from 1-4 p.m.

A canned food drive will also take place at the tryouts. While the Timberwolves do not charge to try out, the team does ask that those interested in playing make a donation of a non-perishable food item.
