PORTLAND – The Glide Wildcats volleyball team advanced to the state 3A semifinal Friday morning beating Westside Christian 3-0. The Wildcats won 25-14, 25-22, 25-20.
Sierra Mauro had 17 kills and 12 assists and McKya Filley had 13 kills and 14 digs to lead the Wildcats. Whitney Stone had seven service aces and Piper Kaul had 14 assists.
Head Coach Misti-Kae Bucich said “Everybody contributed today.”
Glide (ranked 1st) now faces Mountain Valley Conference rival Creswell (Who is ranked 4th in the tournament) at 6:30PM tonight at Forrest Grove High School. This will be the fourth time this season that the two teams face off. Glide has beaten Creswell twice while dropping one game at home in early October.
Bucich added “I know it’s going to be competitive, we know each other so we’re going to shake things up a bit. We’re ready.”
