ROSEBURG – As the spring sports seasons come to an end, the summer season is getting started. Tryouts, workouts, and camps are all coming up soon.

Tryouts for summer baseball teams will be held next week. The American Legion teams will hold tryouts on Wednesday to form the rosters for the triple-A Doc Stewart’s and the single-A teams, the Pepsi Bottlecaps and the Umpqua Lions.

Tryouts for Roseburg Renegade baseball are Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Sunshine Park. All current 7-9th graders are welcome to tryout. Contact coach Tim Sustaire at Roseburg High School with any further questions.

A second round of soccer tryouts for U11 through U15 teams with the Umpqua United Soccer Club will be held on Tuesday and Thursday next week. Visit roseburgsoccer.org to register for tryouts.

Roseburg High School will host a couple days of football workouts with new head coach Dave Heuberger on Wednesday and Thursday next week. On Wednesday, all incoming freshman through seniors are invited to workout at Finlay Field from 6-8 p.m. On Thursday, football players in grades 4th-8th are invited to workout from 6-7 p.m. and 9-12th graders will workout again from 7-8 p.m.
