The Roseburg wrestling team, among many other teams from the Umpqua Basin, begin competition at the Oregon Classic Friday morning in Redmond.Ê

The Indians are the top seed at the 6A level and bring 20 wrestlers to the event. Roseburg has been placed in Pool A and will face Lake Oswego, Barlow, Clackamas and No. 3 McMinnville in pool play. First up for the Indians is Lake Oswego. Roseburg starts wrestling at 8 a.m.

Other teams also heading to Redmond from the Umqpua Basin are Sutherlin, Douglas, Glide, and Glendale. Sutherlin takes on Sweet Home in its first dual, Douglas squares off against North Marion, Glide faces Willamina, and Glendale competes against Lowell.
